The original design featured a Flash-based interactive experience; however this let to the inevitable difficulties associated with maintaining a Flash site. Using an initial design concept, I reworked the site to a modern 960 pixel width, minimized the amount of Flash content and integrated Javascript galleries.

  • Collin College Preston Ridge Art Posters

Collin College Preston Ridge Art Posters

These posters were created in order to promote the four arts instructors and classes on the Collin College Preston Ridge Campus. Collin College’s original brochure for the Fine Art Department was a plain word document with the departmental FAQ. I saw this as an opportunity to promote the department’s exceptional facilities and artwork. I began collecting images of student and art work, taking most of the images myself. I created the more polished design, ensuring that…

Collin College art professor Jerrry Smith’s website had good information and a strong collection of artwork; unfortunately it was muddled down with an unclear navigation,  frame and table based layout, and did not meet current accessibly standards. For this redesign, I focused on creating an interface that would be easy to navigate, provide students access…

Collin College art professor Sue Anne Rische already had a professional website, but was in need of a separate site for her class news and assignments. We both agreed that it would be best to maintain a similar feeling, but create a unique design that followed the schools accessibility requirements. For this redesign, I focused…

    Nerd Alert!

    Over Medicated

Big blue pill box. Fully functional with Plexiglas dividers and oversize pills. Sadly the durn thing was too big to get more pics in the school studio. Will have to add more at a later date. This was another attempt to equate an object’s scale to it’s personal importance. Don’t forget your meds, y’all. Over…

Be gentle, it’s my first time…

this was my first attempt at a “grown-up” painting, with properly mixed colors, using big-boy paints and brushes. It was also the first to feature a semi-realistic subject matter beyond penguins on the beach, monkey nuns, or celebrity day of the dead skeletons.   I like it, but I still think it needs a penguin.…
